Most of us have a love/hate relationship with money. We love it for the opportunities it brings and the things it can do for our lives. But it’s easy to hate it too, as navigating it can often feel like a giant pain in the you-know-what. Especially when you have a to-do list that only seems to get longer every day.
I’m Bec Dillon-Hensby, a Financial Planner who helps women and families make smart money moves with ease, free from overwhelm and jargon (because the only place jargon belongs is in textbooks).
I provide personal financial advice on:
- Money Management
- Superannuation
- Investing
- Personal Insurance
- Estate Planning
I’m a big believer in creating a financial plan that fits you like your favourite pair of jeans (you know, the ones that actually fit, not the ones that are hanging in our closet in the hope that one day, just maybe, they’ll fit again).
Financial Planning is all about understanding your life and what’s important to you and then constructing a strategy for your money that gets you from where you are to where you want to be. It’s about establishing strong financial foundations and then building upon them.
Most importantly, it’s about finding the right financial balance between life now and life later, building wealth without sacrifice or deprivation.
One of the things that breaks my heart most in this world is the financial disparity between men and women. The fact that women are retiring with significantly less superannuation than men honestly keeps me awake at night. Not to mention the gender pay gap *sigh*. Yet, they're less likely to seek out financial advice… Why?
Traditional advice doesn’t feel welcoming for women. In the past, they’ve felt patronised, intimidated and dismissed. And most of all, it’s inaccessible - trying to get into an office between the hours of 9-5 while juggling work, the kids and life in general just feels impossible.
That’s why I take the following approach to financial planning:
- A jargon-free zone where financial concepts and strategies are explained in plain, human language. There is no such thing as a stupid question.
- Zoom meetings available so you can meet with me from the comfort of your own home (PJs welcome and encouraged)
- A variety of appointments available (including after-hours) to suit your schedule.
- Free first meetings that are obligation-free, so you can get a feel of whether I’m the right fit for you without the pressure
